Kurata So is a Japanese illustrator and character artist based in Kyoto, Japan. She creates mysterious yet playful worlds through her original characters, SUNNY and BOMKE — work that blends cute, slightly dark, and surreal elements inspired by games, imagination, and strange spaces. Kurata also illustrates for trading card games while developing her own character universe through paintings and original artwork, including her signature "Goat Strand Garages" series.
