Ocean child rescued in Enshū fields, who foretells seasonal shifts through the rising rhythm of surf.
A small yokai said to have appeared in the rice fields of Enshū. After becoming lost, it was rescued by a kind villager and was able to return to its home in the sea. In gratitude, it began foretelling the next day's weather through the sound of the sea, helping the village enjoy abundant harvests year after year.
