The Collectr Bid Wars Terms & Conditions
Version v1 — 2 November 2026
The Collectr Bid Wars (the “Contest”) is organised by Trading Card Games Kuala Lumpur (“TCGKL” or the “Organiser”), operated by HAJOON CAPITAL SDN BHD, with Collectr as partner. It runs live on stage at TCGKL Convention 2026, 6–8 November 2026, KLCC, with one session a day.
1. Eligibility
- Free to enter. No purchase or payment is required.
- You must be 18 or over, hold a TCGKL account with a complete profile and a Collectr username, have valid entry to TCGKL Convention 2026, and register at tcgkl.com/bid-wars.
- Staff of TCGKL and Collectr and their immediate families may not enter. This is self-declared at registration and checked if you win.
2. How to play
- Play in the hall only, on your own phone and account, using the code shown on the hall screen for that session. The live stream never shows the code.
- A card is revealed on stage. Look up the named listing in the Collectr app, with prices in MYR, and enter its price on the play screen.
- One bid per card. A bid cannot be changed once locked in.
3. Correct answer
A bid is correct if it is within 5% (inclusive) of the price shown in the Collectr app for the named listing (language, raw or graded, and the agreed price field). Staff record that price with a screenshot, witnessed by a second staff member, before bidding opens. If a recorded price is shown to be wrong, the Organiser records the correction and re-marks that card for everyone.
4. Timing
TCGKL’s server clock decides. Each card is open for 60–90 seconds. Bids received more than 1 second after the buzzer don’t count. The Organiser may extend a window while it is open; a closed card is never reopened.
5. Winners
Within each session, players are ranked by most correct cards, then lowest total time to their correct bids (measured from when each card opened), then the earliest final correct bid, then the earliest registration. There is no random draw. Up to two winners per session, each with at least one correct card. Each person may win only one prize across the event; a previous winner is skipped and the next eligible player is named.
6. Claiming
Come to the stage within 5 minutes of your name being shown, with your wristband or pass, ID matching your TCGKL profile, and your Collectr profile open. Otherwise the prize passes to the next eligible player. Prizes are handed over on stage, are non-transferable, are not posted or shipped, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
7. Data and publicity
Your Collectr username appears on the hall screen and the live stream when you bid and on the session leaderboard. TCGKL shares registrants’ Collectr usernames with Collectr so Collectr can confirm membership and report on the activation, together with anonymised aggregate statistics. Winners may be announced. Your personal data is handled under the TCGKL Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Contact [email protected] to access or correct it.
8. Changes
The Organiser may void a card for everyone and play a spare card, postpone a session if something goes wrong, or hide a username that is offensive. A voided card counts for nobody. The Organiser’s decisions are final, subject to applicable law.
