A legend of a white serpent associated with Tanegaike Pond near the Tottori Sand Dunes. Otane, a servant in the household of a wealthy family, was known for always treating her companions to delicious sweet persimmons. One day, they secretly followed her and discovered that she transformed into a white serpent, crossed to the small island in the middle of the pond, and returned with the fruit.
