Nami & Cavendish: The Hidden Gems of Blue
Nami (OP09-050) has been an absolute powerhouse since her release in Emperors in the New World, even if she hasn’t had her breakout moment on the big stage yet. This one-cost character is an invaluable draw engine for Blue decks, cycling through powerful events while letting you control your final card draws with precision. I’ve personally swapped her in for Gloriosa (Grandma Nyon) (OP07-041) and Hanger (OP04-050), though she isn’t mandatory—just feels right to have more Nami in a Nami deck.
Cavendish (OP10-040) is another exciting piece, though we haven’t had the chance to test her in the West yet—she drops in Royal Blood this March. However, APAC players have already seen her potential. With a deceptively strong stat line, she forces opponents to waste attacks while creating insane tempo if left unchecked. Once she arrives, I’ll definitely be grabbing a few copies!
Are these two about to reshape the meta? Time will tell.
