Jegantha, the Wellspring has been banned in Pioneer!
While the format has been healthy and diverse, Jegantha was limiting card diversity and making decks too similar. It was used as a companion in many decks, giving players access to an extra card—but at the cost of limiting their deckbuilding choices.
By having Jegantha in every deck that could cast it, players were forced to cut some of their favorite or metagame-specific cards to make room. The result? Less diversity and fewer creative strategies.
In the interest of keeping Pioneer a place for fun, diverse gameplay, Jegantha is now banned. Get ready to shake up your decks and see what new combos emerge!
