Is Lugia VSTAR Still Worth Playing?
Once considered one of the strongest decks, Lugia VSTAR struggled at EUIC after its early hype.
The addition of Regigigas from Prismatic Evolutions gave it a powerful answer to Dragapult ex, but the deck was pushed out by the dominance of Miraidon ex. With Amp You Very Much hitting Lugia for weakness and taking three Prizes in one hit, it was a tough matchup to overcome.
However, Lugia VSTAR still has potential, especially with a Cinccino tech to counter Gholdengo ex and Archaludon ex, which resist KOs from Bloodmoon Ursaluna and Regigigas.
Lugia remains a solid choice in Standard—just be sure to dodge Miraidon ex!
