How to Build Your First Deck in One Piece TCG
Stepping into the world of One Piece TCG? Building your first deck might seem overwhelming, but don’t worry—I’ve got you covered!
Step One: Choose Your Leader
Forget about winning for now! Instead, focus on what playstyle excites you the most. Do you prefer aggressive rushdowns, strategic control, or combo-heavy setups? Try out different Leaders and see which one feels right!
With 20+ Starter Decks available (and more coming), there’s a perfect deck for every player. Starter Decks are balanced, playable right out of the box, and an excellent way to explore the different colors and mechanics.
Step Two: The Essentials
To build a legal deck, you need:
✅ 1 Leader Card
✅ 10 DON!!! Cards
✅ 50 Main Deck Cards (must match your Leader’s color)
DON!!! cards are your resource system and gradually enter play throughout the game. Want to customize your DON!!! deck with different artwork? Go for it! As long as you have 10, you’re good to go.
Step Three: Research & Refine
Use online decklist databases like Limitless and Egman Events to see what successful players are using. Search by Leader and check out powerful synergies you may have overlooked.
