Did you know that the East’s OP08 meta is getting a major shakeup! Trafalgar Law and Enies Lobby are banned, and here’s why
Trafalgar Law’s Ban
Law’s leader effect was one of the strongest in the game, letting players remove an opponent’s Character and cheat out a 4-cost Character. With the introduction of Black Maria, the deck became unstoppable—overcoming Law’s Don cost downside with insane ramping. While Bandai could’ve banned Black Maria, they decided to remove Law entirely, likely to prevent future meta issues as new cards are released.
Enies Lobby’s Ban
A key card in Rob Lucci decks, Enies Lobby provided consistent cost-reduction (-2 to an opponent’s Character every turn) without spending Don after being played. While this ban weakens Rob Lucci’s consistency, the deck remains strong and competitive. Cards like Ice Age could take its place for targeting high-cost Characters.
