Basic Lands: Your Magic Deck’s Foundation! 
Building a Magic deck? Start with the basics! Basic Lands are the easiest and most affordable way to get your deck up and running! Unlike most cards, there’s no limit to how many Basic Lands you can include in your deck—so go wild!
Here’s what you need to know about Basic Lands:
No Quantity Limit – While most cards cap at 4 copies (non-Commander formats), Basic Lands are limitless!
Card Type Line – Every Magic card has a type line. For Basic Lands, it will show the supertype (Basic) and the card type (Land).
Land Types Matter – The land type determines the mana they produce.
Most Common Basic Lands and Their Colors:
Plains – Produces White Mana
Forest – Produces Green Mana
Mountain – Produces Red Mana
Island – Produces Blue Mana
Swamp – Produces Black Mana
And don’t forget about Wastes, the Basic Land that produces only Colorless Mana!
