From the moment he enters the battlefield, Oko can jump to six loyalty with a +2 activation. Suddenly, your small creatures can’t get past his Elks, and your big creatures? They’ve been transformed and neutralized while Oko keeps gaining loyalty. And while you’re desperately scrambling to deal with him, your opponent is snowballing their advantage.
Luckily, Commander is the only major format where you’ll still see this trickster in action—where planeswalkers are a bit easier to handle. But if Oko hits the battlefield, you better have a plan, or he’ll take everything—including the game.
