Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex Deck Breakdown
Looking for a powerful answer to today’s aggressive meta? Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex is emerging as a top-tier spread deck built for smart board control and synergy. The deck revolves around using Froslass’s Freezing Shroud to apply damage across the board to both your opponent’s Pokémon and your own. Munkidori’s Adrena Brain then shifts that damage exactly where it’s needed most.
This deck shines thanks to its efficiency. Grimmsnarl ex powers itself up with Punk Up and enters play easily using Spikemuth Gym. Since Grimmsnarl and Munkidori share the same Energy type, the list stays lean and focused. Even with multiple evolutions and Darkness Energy requirements, setup is surprisingly smooth with help from Technical Machine Evolution and Secret Box.
Secret Box plays a critical role in securing both evolution tools and next turn Supporters through Arven. To keep consistency high the list runs four copies each of Iono Professor’s Research and Arven plus a Fezandipiti ex to support the draw engine. Boss’s Orders is also key with three copies included to control the board in slower matchups.
One of the deck’s biggest tools is Technical Machine Devolution. It takes advantage of spread damage to punish early Rare Candy use and sets up multi-KO turns against decks with several evolved Pokémon. This becomes especially important against Gholdengo ex where chaining Grimmsnarls is difficult and disruption is the path to victory. While not used in every match it’s a powerful option when needed.
